Dr Abhijeet Kumar is a Lecturer in Law at the University of Leicester. His research explores intellectual property law, knowledge systems, and the governance of cultural and informational resources.
Outside academic work, he writes, travels, and works with photography and documentary film. These different practices often circle the same questions: how knowledge is created, shared, preserved, and sometimes contested.

The book examines the economic and legal structures surrounding IP valuation and the management of intangible assets, addressing issues of auditing, securitisation, and monetisation of IP.
Directed and produced by Abhijeet Kumar, this documentary explores how Adivasi communities sustain indigenous knowledge systems, cultural practices, and livelihoods amid changing economic and social conditions. The film presents first-person narratives of communities whose everyday practices connect work, culture, and identity.
